You can't identify asbestos in materials by touch, sight or smell. You need a high-powered microscope to see the individual fibres and a careful analysis of their optical properties to identify the presence of asbestos and the type of fibre.

 

Also, blue asbestos is not blue, and brown asbestos is not brown. As separate fibres they all look white.
