All asbestos is dangerous if inhaled. However, there is good scientific evidence to show that for the same amount of exposure, the risk of mesothelioma from crocidolite (blue) is around 500 times greater than from chrysotile (white) and around five times the risk from amosite (brown) exposure. All types of asbestos carry a similar risk of lung cancer.
